About Us

APPROACH SYSTEMS designs, develops and markets products based on GPS technologies using aviation as the development platform for other mobile industries. For the general aircraft industry, our APIC product brings glass cockpit and moving map technologies to low cost commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms based on Windows XP and Windows® Mobile base technologies. Our APIC focus has been the development of glass cockpit functionality for embedded systems. For the aviation market, these systems are an order of magnitude less expensive than other systems.

Approach has developed tools and techniques to geo synchronize PDFs of all types. For aviation, we have 2 products that utilize the FAA's NACO IAP and ADs charts. This technology is embedded in our standard APIC product line and as standalone real time geo located approach plate application. We have also developed a low cost airport diagram only moving map product.
